Peacock Tee

I wasn't sure what design I was going to go with for December but since I've been having dreams featuring peacocks and peacock feathers I figured I'd go with that. As always any pre-orders from friends and family will be discounted. Once they go in stores or online I can't change the price.
Pre-order discount $17; Regular $24 I have Sizes Medium and Large. Inseam from armpit to waist is 16" on both. All shirts are pre-washed.

Misprint Medium Tee for $12. I accidentally put the frame upside down:( The front of the t-shirt is fine.

Totes for $6, regularly $10

Call, text, or e-mail me at blue.road@live.com to order.
Pre-orders need to be received before Tuesday December 1st.
Happy Holidays!

Owl Totes

It only makes sense for someone who owns 31 purses (I counted; Twice) to make her own batch of totes for Blue Road, and here they are....(drum roll please.) They are one of a kind and created with the help of my Viking (that's right, she's a Viking) Husqvarna 150 Electronic sewing machine made by the Swedenites. Which brings me to my next point...because I did sew these with a sewing machine that I often lose patience with, (that Viking spirit has a mind of it's own) they've got little issues here and there. Nothing that a buyer would notice, but plagues me nonetheless. That's why I am selling them only at UME. That way the buyer can get up close and personal with my adorable mishaps and still fall in love with it. Rather than buying it from me online, then cursing my name when it shows up at their house. I really don't need my name cursed right now.

So, maybe I'll see you at UME. Happy shopping!

I love that color purple. It makes me feel enlightened...weird.

Rainbow Warrioress

The Rainbow Warrioress shirt was my first inspired creation! Screen printed, with the rainbow colors hand painted. They will be available online the second week of November. Pre-order now and get $5.00 off the regular price, originally $34, but you can purchase for $29. Or You can get the plain shirt for $19 versus $24. Quantities are limited (meaning I only have a couple left) so first come first serve. To order e-mail me at blue.road@live.com.

Shirt Meaning:

Some time in the future, the Indians said, the animals would begin to disappear. People would no longer see the wolf, or the bear, or the eagles. And, the story goes, the giant trees would also disappear. And people would fight with each other and not love each other. And, the story goes, the beautiful rainbow in the sky would fade away, and people would not see the rainbow anymore.

Well, children would come. And these children would love the animals, and they would bring back the animals. They would love trees, and they would bring back the giant trees. And these children would love other people and they would help people to live in peace with, each other. And these children would love the rainbow, and they would bring back the beautiful rainbow in the sky. For this reason the Indians called these children the rainbow warriors.

Here is the shirt without the rainbow. I added a medicine wheel to the design representing balance and I also included a Raven representing higher consciousness.
Shirt Dimensions:
Only available in Medium.
- 23.5" approx length from shoulder to hem,
-13.5" shoulder width,
-30" chest,
-24" sleeve length - (Measured from Small)
- 95% cotton, 5% spandex; Machine wash cold, tumble dry low.

I'd also like to give a shout out to this months Blue Road model, Shera. She has always connected herself to mother earth and has helped inspire that connection within me as well, from all the many camping trips we shared together sleeping out under the stars, to the time she asked me to help her plant a tree on Earth Day. This girl is amazing! Shera has also inspired me to paint, after she did her first (and amazing) mural on my bedroom wall in 10th grade! There are many people I am appreciating right now for their inspiration and support with Blue Road. First I'd like to thank my muse, Tyler, the man who sees my truth even when I don't and supports me with EVERYTHING including the work he did to create my website.

Check out the amazing things he's creating with Venus Sound Studio at www.artisticaudioproductions.com

I also want to acknowledge Casey Kawaguchi for sketching my logo. He brings an indescribable element to anything he works on that is completely unique to him, and it makes everything he does AMAZING! Here he is representing his other passion, music. Below is the first screen print of his sketch. It turned out great!

To check out more of Casey's work you can visit this site: www.amicusclothing.bigcartel.com/category/the-collective-loft

There are many people who have helped me who I will be acknowledging in the future! Thanks!

Welcome!

This blog is dedicated to my process of trying to create an amazing clothing line out of thin air. Yippee.

Who knows it could be a violent success or a blundering course of fun.

Either way I'm going to walk away with a whole new wardrobe, because naturally I have to buy one of everything I make.

So glad you are here to join in the journey!
