I originally had only planned on drawing the owl with lotus eyes, but ended up adding the Namaste message on the tree branch. Namaste is about honoring the light and divinity within each of us. But it is interesting to know that bear totem shares the message that Great Spirit is with us all!

Every year I avoid making New Years resolutions because I find that in the dead of winter my resolutions tend to be based on self-criticism rather than self-love. Then when I inevitably fail to follow through with my resolutions I end up feeling less than loving towards my self and others. This design is to help me remember that creation is always love based, whereas miscreation is always ego based. When we create from love, we connect with our Spirit, our Higher Self, and our Higher Power. When we connect with ego, we create from fear, self-criticism, jealousy, etc, and we force our miscreations on our self and others. So my intention for this next year is to remember that Love Is the Essence of Creation and if I'm not creating from Love, then I'm not creating anything sustaining or true.

I wasn't sure what design I was going to go with for December but since I've been having dreams featuring peacocks and peacock feathers I figured I'd go with that. As always any pre-orders from friends and family will be discounted. Once they go in stores or online I can't change the price. Pre-order discount $17; Regular $24 I have Sizes Medium and Large. It only makes sense for someone who owns 31 purses (I counted; Twice) to make her own batch of totes for Blue Road, and here they are....(drum roll please.) They are one of a kind and created with the help of my Viking (that's right, she's a Viking) Husqvarna 150 Electronic sewing machine made by the Swedenites. Which brings me to my next point...because I did sew these with a sewing machine that I often lose patience with, (that Viking spirit has a mind of it's own) they've got little issues here and there. Nothing that a buyer would notice, but plagues me nonetheless. That's why I am selling them only at UME. That way the buyer can get up close and personal with my adorable mishaps and still fall in love with it. Rather than buying it from me online, then cursing my name when it shows up at their house. I really don't need my name cursed right now.
